As Acton’s vice-president of client delivery, Dave’s role at Acton includes the overall management of the company, staff and project management, and ensuring clients receive innovative and value-added solutions which meet their specific needs.

His interesting career began in Churchill, Manitoba, where he was a junior high and high school teacher for four years. During that time, he also accepted a position as president of the Churchill Teachers’ Association and led successful negotiations for numerous grievance disputes. Dave later drew from these leadership skills during a brief stint as president of a management consulting firm and also completed his MBA from the University of Alberta in 1999.

Dave thrives in his work and is known as a problem solver. One of his goals is to help Acton establish a reputation for “solving unsolvable client problems”. He is also the proud recipient of two Premier’s Awards of Excellence (2003 and 2005) and helps oversee staff training and development.

When he is not busy contributing to Acton’s success, he enjoys being a dad and coach to his two children. His hobbies include reading, home renovations, video editing, and Sudoku.
