An Evaluation Framework for personal development incorporates the essential components of individual leadership, while the idea of team leadership is explored through the essential practices of leading high-performance teams. Finally, from an organizational perspective leadership development includes facilitation of change within the company, and the ability to overcome any barriers that may have been incurred.
Sample Acton Experience:
Acton assisted participants with leadership development, a leadership framework, Organizational Personality Profile (instrument designed to measure the seven most important career and work-related characteristics in adults) and leadership competencies. Adhering to the firm’s core values and competencies, this workshop helped participants develop leadership skills that can be applied at an individual level to an overall organizational level. Participants were engaged in a variety of classroom activities that helped ensure comprehension and retention. The courses covered the following topics: essentials of leadership, retaining talent, coaching for success, influential leadership, and leading change, developing others, leading high performance teams and boosting business results.
Acton developed the learning outcomes, tools, concepts, facilitation guides, and participant manuals for leadership modules for a large scale manufacturing company. The objective of the modules and workshops was to provide support for the development of leaders, managers and employees. The modules enabled participants to achieve and understand individual goals and helped the company establish a framework to present leadership principles in a positive context for both managers and employees.
The firm approached Acton Consulting with a need for leadership and management training to help increase the overall efficiency of their organization. Acton was able to develop and execute a leadership development program that provided an overview to leadership and self-assessment, including general leadership and managerial concepts (basic communication, active listening skills, etc). More specifically, the course covered a variety of key leadership topics ranging from a leadership self-assessment, applicable leadership principles and practices, performance management (coaching for success), communication skills, leading and managing change, performance management and developing a personal action plan.
