Project Management Services

Project Management (PM) is the organization, planning and managing of resources (human, capital, etc) to meet time-specific outcomes, goals and objectives.  Project management involves developing a project plan, organization/management of resources required to complete the plan and the identification of any potential barriers that may arise throughout the course of the project.

Project Management Services is a step by step process offered to companies that will help guide the organization through the necessary requirements to implement a project management approach. PM Services helps to analyze and create the plan, identify problem areas and learn how to utilize project management best practices.

Government Ministry – Training Course
Acton provided a Project Management session with the regional managers of a Government Ministry. Their work was almost exclusively project based and the branch had recently experienced significant turnover. Acton Project Management Services were a strong refresher for continuing staff and to bring new managers “up to speed” with the project management language and tools currently used by their peers. The organization had the option of a ‘one day stand alone session’ or ‘enhanced training’. The enhanced training session was very similar to the topics covered in the one-day session except it included a diagnostic to tailor the course specifically to the needs of the organization.


Government Ministry – Training Course
Acton completed an executive workshop for a Government Ministry to provide senior associates with a better understanding of their role in any project, as well as ensuring strategic alignment of projects. Topics covered in the session included: project selection, project sourcing, project reporting, project measures, project milestones and the role of the sponsor, steering committee, and advisor committee. All presentation material was adjusted to reflect the specific challenges that were faced by executives and staff.
