Acton Consulting and Alberta Beverage Container Recycling Corporation (ABCRC) have created a Community Beverage Container Recycling Toolkit to support municipalities with their Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP). The Toolkit is designed to supplement the strategy component of an ICSP by helping communities develop a beverage container program. With the development of such a program, municipalities can target at least two of the four pillars of sustainability planning (e.g. Environment, Economic, Culture and Social) . The Toolkit educates municipalities on how to provide more convenient and better publicized beverage container recycling programs for their citizens, as well as provide opportunities for municipalities to support local charitable organizations.
